Accepts Halloween Candy Donations

Buffalo City Mission – The Buffalo City Mission will allow you to donate Halloween candy anytime at their center located at 100 E. Tupper, Buffalo.  If you have questions, please contact Marilyn at 716.854.8181 x 424.

United Stockings Sailors Soldiers (U.S.S.S) – U.S.S.S is a local non-profit that sends stockings and other packages to the troops overseas.  They are especially looking for candy this year because they are looking to fill 5,000 stockings this year!  If they surpass that, anything that remains will be sent to bases in the United States, Veterans Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and Homeless Shelters.  You can drop donations off at 75 East Ave., Lockport in the Emmanuel United Methodist Church or you can call them to pick it up at (716) 438 – 8075.

Note:  This group also accepts travel size toiletries, razors, and a bunch of other items that you could include with your candy donation.

You Can Donate Your Halloween Candy – Or There’s Buy Back Programs Too!

Winning Smiles Pediatric Dentistry – Winning Smiles has several locations throughout WNY.  This year on November 1st, they are doing a Buy Back program where they will pay kids $1 per pound of candy donated.  They take the candy and send it to troops currently overseas.   There are a few requirements, so please visit their website to learn more.

Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry – Growing Smiles is doing a buy back program too.  All donations will also be sent to the troops overseas and they are asking that you include a letter or picture along with your donation this year.  Their buy back is on November 1st from 2-6 pm at their Transit Road office, located at 6501 Transit Road, Suite B, East Amherst.  This information was found on their Facebook page so please check there for details and updates.

National Organizations That Take Halloween Candy Donations

Operation Gratitude – Operation Gratitude also collects Halloween candy donations to send to the troops.  They are national organization that works with local businesses to set up drop-off locations.  Click here to go to their map and plug in your zip code to see if there is a drop off location near you.
