There’s a house on Fargo Rd in the Batavia/Strafford area. Its amazing!! You get out and walk around the property. Its a mini festival of lights.

There is a singing house on Old Falls Blvd in North Tonawanda! At least, there has been for the past few years!

Stony brook (off Walden) in lancaster whole neighborhood they do it for charity. I believe children’s hospital but don’t quote me. This is the seven annual and it is SOOO worth going  AND Yes Stony Brook, Quail Run, Westbury, Whitestone Lane and Kelly Ct all are lit up. Lights are lit up all down the streets, trees and all. This is our first year moving here and it’s amazing to drive home every night to!!!! They are raising money for the Kevin Guest House. Donations are accepted at 2 houses if anyone chooses to donate:) Hundreds of trees lit up and houses

 Losson rd park has lights set up and you just go in and drive through. It’s really nice and free so you can keep in mind for a last minute thing

Dan Troy road in Williamsville is full of light displays up and down the street. Between Sheridan and Maple.

Pierce Ave (rt 62) a minute after you turn off of Buffalo Street (Homeowner) in Hamburg. Beautiful lights display with lots to look at. He has won the Channel 2 Holiday Lights contest multiple times!

We usually go around Grand Island due to the high number of houses linked with the musical displays, animated displays, & whole yards decorated. The houses along East and West River RDS usually go all out.

October 31st at 6pm.  Corner of Wardman Ave and Delaware Rd.

Every year, the Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department holds a Halloween Parade for Children on Halloween – October 31st.  The parade starts at the corner of Delaware Road and Wardman Avenue at 6 PM and ends at the Kenmore Fire Department, 16 Nash Road, where kids enjoy donuts and cider and receive a candy bag.

SATURDAY October 29th from 10am-1pm on the Municipal Green

This annual community event is organized and run by volunteers.  Each year, hundreds of children dress up and come to the Municipal Green (corner of Delaware Avenue and Delaware Road) to enjoy games, crafts, face painting,  food and fun!  The event is held rain or shine and runs 10:00 to 1:00. This event also marks the end of the Kenmore Farmers Market for the year.  Help support our local farmers and vendors!

New costume contest category this year:  “Most Creative Family”.   Families will compete by dressing as a group theme and one family will be awarded the top prize for most creative.

The KVIS Children’s Concert Series is held on Tuesday evenings for five consecutive weeks each summer.

The Concerts are held on the lawn of Kenmore Middle School.  They begin at 6:15 pm and end at 7:15 pm.  Affordable dinner food is available to purchase -pizza, beverage, fruit cup, Anderson’s sundae.  Please bring chairs or blankets for seating.  The Concert restroom is across the street at Kenmore United Methodist Church.  If it rains the concerts are held at the Kenmore Community Center, 135 Wilber Ave. 14217.  Check our main facebook page for weather updates on the dates below -we’ll post there if the concerts move indoors.

July 12: Hot Club of Buffalo
Dance along to the hot, hot, hot Gypsy Jazz sounds of this favorite WNY band!  Free gift for the first 200 children at this concert!

July 19: The Blarney Bunch
The celtic sounds of this band will fill us with glee and have us up dancing a jig!

July 26: Christina Custode
“Buffalo’s Best Female Vocalist” will thrill you with her smooth jazz style and musicality!

August 2: Mama Earth’s Kitchen Band
Susi Rozler is a Series favorite back to sing our childhood favorites!

Days, Days and More Days!

So many towns and villages host their annual Community Days during the summer. There are usually parades, sometimes fireworks and always kid-friendly things to do. If you can get the kids to skip (or go small) on the carnival rides, you can get in on some free fun!

June 22, 23, 24 and 25 Kenmore Days at Mang Park. Kenmore Days kid-friendly events are on TH, F and SAT. .

June 25 is Clarence Day in the Park!

July 12, 13, 14 and 15 Old Home Days (Williamsville)  (11am-10pm each day!)

July 9 and 10 Cheektowaga Family Days at Cheektowaga Town Park. Again, I am having some difficulty tracking down specific info on some of these events. Hopefully, the Town of Cheektowaga website will be updated to reflect some sort of schedule soon!  ETA:  more info in The Bee News  (more info here as well)

July 9 and 10 Old Sanborn Days: Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm.  Sanborn Fire Company Grounds, Route 429, Sanborn, NY  Get more details here!  and more info here as well

The Kenmore Memorial Day Parade is May 30th at 11am and concludes about 1pm.  It is one of the largest Memorial Day Parades in the WNY area.  It takes place on Delaware Avenue, beginning in the Town of Tonawanda, continuing into the Village of Kenmore, and turning onto Lincoln Boulevard, ending at Elmwood Avenue.
