Where do you take your kids for indoor fun in the winter? Leave a comment below and I will add it to my list!

  1. Just found out about a place called Skyzone, in Cheektowaga – haven’t been there, but it sounds like lots of fun… All trampolines, all the time! ;^)

  2. Hi Nancy – yes! Skyzone is awesome! You can read my Mom Review of it up in the Mom Review section.

  3. Anonymous says:

Strong museum would be great addition to this list art gallery too

  4. Theatre of Youth should definitely be mentioned on this list!

  5. melissa says:

If including Rochester area stuff.. Kango in henrietta is awesome. Also there is the sandbox…

  6. Kelly Simpson says:

It would lovely to see a tab on this site, breaking down fun things age appropriately! xo

    • Fun4KidsInBuffalo says:

Hi Kelly! The reason I don’t break things down by age is I feel I’m not qualified to do so unless it is ages 7 and under. (These are the ages of my own kids!) Anything above 7 I just don’t feel comfortable giving an age range.

  7. Ferguson Planetarium is currently closed for renovations.

  8. Bounce magic’s Amherst location is reopened on Maple road near Dick’s sporting goods.

  9. Try Music with Mar classes, offered all year at multiple locations all over WNY. See their website for all class listings.

  10. Kimberly Stahl says:

What is toddletown and more? When I go to the link it gives me an error. Thanks

  11. Sharon Travis says:

Make your Mark art studio in East Amherst has closed :-(

  12. There is a really great place in Wyoming County on Route 20A if your children LOVE animals this is a must do. They also have a really great petting zoo. It is worth the drive. Below is the link.

  13. How about the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls???

  14. Jillian M. Rung says:

Dave and Buster’s! Way better than Chuckie cheese! ! :)

  15. Christina B says:

Is there a place that teen girls can go and play dress up for a birthday party. Either in or around Williamsville ?

  16. I was curious to know .. There is a pic at the top of this page showing an indoor play place with what looks like a ball pit. I was wondering what place that is and would it be a great fit for a 10 and 8 year old? Thanks :)

    • Fun4KidsInBuffalo says:

Hi Ashley, that picture was just a random picture I found on google, it’s not around here. I just replaced it actually!

  17. Stutelage Innovations in East Amherst is a great place for programs for kids!

    • Fun4KidsInBuffalo says:

Thanks Andrea. This list includes places people don’t have to register or sign up. They can just walk in and play or read or look at exhibits.

  18. Found the Grand Island Fun Center from this site, did not realize it was so close! Kids had a BLAST on the go karts and mini golf and was very reasonably priced!

  19. Could you add fun restaurants for kids and family’s to go?

  20. The culinary institute in niagara falls ny offers cooking classes for children and holiday events in. The month of December they have a bake off and the kids get to create their own gingerbread house

  21. My 8 year old daughter loves to draw/ and do art, but looking for a place that teaches it to kids, etc around Cheektowaga area..TY

  22. Mrs Sweeney says:

Hi, we will be visiting the area from Canada. What would be the best place (indoor play center) for a walking 15 month old?

    • Fun4KidsInBuffalo says:

Rolly Pollies, Sweet Charlottes and maybe Billy Beez (?) The only one we’ve never been too, so I couldn’t be for sure on that suggestion!

  23. Mary Ann says:

If you haven’t been to Cheeky Monkeys in Canada yet , you should check it out with your children. All running & playing all the time. No waste of money on expensive token games 4 stupid little junk prizes. Children interact with others. Great leather furniture for parents to relax, look at a magazine or play on the equipment with their children with No extra cost. $10.00 CAD per child. I took my grandchildren 2 times & we love it. Clean & friendly.

  24. Mary Ann says:

I have been to billy beez, it’s a great place for kids of all ages. If you are a parent or grandparent that can play & climb & slide with your children it’s a great place. It can be expensive because you pay for all adults, even if you can’t do the climbing & slides. With a bad (R) knee & a total (L) hip replacement, I can’t & still have to pay to observe. It’s very secure but needs to have small lockers
for purses etc. with paid child.

  25. It’s back to school time and the weather will be changing! Visit The Family Room for all your indoor play needs that is recreational and educational! Read the rave reviews on this site too. For more info visit find us on Facebook Friends of the Family Room.
